Everlane Head to Toe (Really) with New Leather Slip-Ons

everlane-sweatshirt-slip-ons-review

You all know my long standing love for Everlane’s clothes, but I haven’t had much experience with their shoes (although the Day Heels/Glove Boots are the only heels I can stand). Other than, I haven’t been particularly interested in the other shoe options, until I saw these slip-on loafers.

If you haven’t noticed, I’m pretty picky about any type of shoe, not just heels. I put comfort above almost all else, but I don’t want orthotics. I’ve found loafers are generally stiff and uncomfortable and almost impossible to break in. Nevertheless, I love the look of them. And I’m always down for a good statement shoe.

Thus, this incredible silver slip-on loafer from Everlane enters the scene.

The Leather Slip On

Yes, it’s incredible. You can stop reading this post and go straight to get you a pair.

The leather is supple and soft, and while it did require some breaking in (which I think is more due to my bony feet and less to the construction of the shoe), it wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle. And I really hate breaking in shoes. I hate anything that makes my feet uncomfortable, honestly. I just have no patience for that type of discomfort.

Let’s get a close up.

Oh yeah, that’s the stuff!

See that extra padding in the back on the heel? Completely necessary for my bony feet. And those pieces of elastic near the middle of my foot? They help cut down on the stiffness that normal loafers have, because they have no stretch across the top of your foot. The design of this shoe is incredibly well thought-out, and they come in statement colors as well as your classic colors (Silver, Black, White, Lemon, and Dusty Lilac). That lemon is calling my name.

But, let’s not leave out the next MVP in Everlane’s latest lineup.

The French Terry Pleat Sweatshirt

I drooled when I saw this sweatshirt. Honestly.

Obviously, it looks great tied around your waist, but I think I prefer wearing it more. As you can see in the very first picture in this post!

What I love about this sweatshirt is in the name, the pleats. It gives the sleeves a very feminine vibe that most other sweatshirts don’t have. It also has the ever popular puff sleeve effect, which is my favorite.

Finally, it’s a bit cropped. I often find when I wear sweatshirts I look kind of sloppy unless I do a little front-tuck. But I don’t always want to tuck my sweatshirt, so this cropped length works perfectly. It let’s me still look like I have a waist but have the comfort of a sweatshirt.

I got mine in the Bone color, but you can get it other classic colors like Black and Gray. And really, what other colors you need?

So, tell me. Which of these are you most excited to get your hands on?
